Antfarm Dickhole (2011) | Film Review

(Originally published on Letterboxd) - Where to begin...

Antfarm Dickhole is from writer/director, Bill Zebub. It tells the story of Antdrew, a chubby bespectacled loser who worries about being bullied. His best friend, Antony, constantly tries to encourage his friend to stand up for himself. After an unfortunate run in with a local bully in the middle of the woods, Antdrew wakes up to discover he has a colony of Army ants living in his penis. After the ants kill and devour his girlfriend as she's fellating him, he begins to realize that he can wield these ants like a superpower against his bullies. What follows is Antdrew's gradual decent into madness along with an increase in self-confidence.

Antfarm Dickhole is a freaking mess of a film. It features a premise that is little more than a one off joke, stretched beyond the braking point. The acting, writing, and editing are all so insufferable, the few jokes that actually do work fall flat. Seriously, embarking on the journey that is Antfarm Dickhole will certainly test your patience, sanity, and force you to decide whether living through the experience is really worth it.

The only reason you should ever find yourself watching Antfarm Dickhole is if you have a group of friends who want to throw a bad movie marathon with drinks, food, and medication only legal in certain states. Any other conditions will only leave you suicidal.

I do have to give credit to Bill, though. Many people talk about making movies, but he actually did it. It's not good, but it exists, and somehow I ended up watching it, so I guess that means it was a worthwhile achievement on his part. Personally, I'm curious how he managed to pull together so many women willing to expose everything in something so amateurish. Maybe they all had Dollar Store rubber ant fetishes? Maybe Bill has a popular death metal band, and he employed his groupies? Either way, the sheer number of boob and vagina shots are impressive... even if the quality of said boob and vagina is not.

This film gets one star merely for existing, but that is all. Consider this being me at my most generous.
